Before I talk about my training and specialties, I want prospective clients to know that the most important factor in any therapy relationship is trust and goodness of fit. That being said, I have specific training that can help people overcome certain obstacles very quickly. If you are being referred for a specific problem, read on!
I have extensive training in several evidence-based modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Emotion Efficacy Therapy (EET). I also perform Interoceptive Exposure for Panic Disorder, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD, and Prolongued Exposure for trauma response and PTSD. Much of my work is informed by mindfulness interventions and somatic body awareness.
I also received several years of supervision with gifted interpersonal therapists. I apply attachment theory, self psychology and some object-relations principles to my work.
